Education
Empowered children change the world
For over 33 years, SAA has been providing equitable educational opportunities for more than 13426 vulnerable children. Currently, the association sponsors the education of 735 students whose school enrolment is at risk due to economic and financial problems, through paying school tuition fees, providing all the necessary stationery and books, and ensuring regular follow-ups on student’s performance throughout the academic year.
Additionally, SAA organizes remedial tutoring sessions for the students and other activities such as trips, competitions, summer camps, and workshops. These events have proven to be significant to these children’s development, namely in their study performance and communication skills while encouraging them to explore their artistic and sport talents, which noticeably enhanced their self-confidence.
SAA’s work does not end at this stage as it also accompanies these children after graduating from school by organizing orientation sessions to assist the students in the delicate and pivotal task of choosing their field of study at the university and by covering their tuition fees.
Through these aids, SAA hopes to empower children to rediscover the courage to dream of brighter future, to speak out and ask for what they believe in and to find the strength within even when confronted by the many challenges that their lives inevitably deliver.
